Aldi Food Review - Slim and Trim Shake

I tried one of these for the first time last week ....... my intention was to see if i liked it for those days when i can't fit a proper lunch in because i am run off my feet so i could have this instead ....... with that in mind I was real...ly impressed with the flavour and how long i was full for after having this shake ....... it was sweet but i would prefer real sugar over artificial sugar .......... if i didn't have this i would probably end up eating something prepackaged even worse for me so I thought it was ok ......... for $2 it is also a super cheap on the go lunch option.

  1. Delicious and extra thick with half or whole banana and skim milk.

  4. Ive been on Slim & Trim for a week now and in that frist week i have lost 3kgs :) I love the the tast of them and they are very thick so they keep you feeling fuller for longer. I have one for breakfast then i have a slice of home made zucchini slice, Slim & Trim for lunch and some low carb fruit ie apple, for dinner i just cook up a Turkey breast steak and have a big salad with a squeeze of lemon juice for a bit of zing, and also i have one can of coke zero that tends to keep my sweet tooth in line lol

    1. Hi there. Can you tell me how many a day were you consuming to give you those results? And did you keep your daily routine as usual? And does it have a stomach expanding ability? I ask this as tried to research this on the net. Ty June

  6. Found one sachet to not quite do the job, but when mixing two in 400ml of ice cold water, that does it for me. Prefer the banana flavour (when available), but the of the four 'common' flavours, we get all but the vanilla.

  8. I've been trying another brand's meal replacement shakes. After reading the reviews here, I think I will switch to the Aldi brand. I don't know why I didn't go with Aldi in the first place - I shop there regularly!

  15. This is probably a stupid question but, do you need to excercise on the slim & trim meal replacement?

  16. I would say yes to exercise - only 30min 3 days per week. I'm going back to the shakes to lose 20kgs.

  22. I am looking to lose about 20 - 25kg in the next 10 months. Iv just finished breast feeding my 7 month old and am getting married in 11 months. I had my first aldi shake this morning AMAZING! !!! Has anyone tried the bars? What meal do you use them for?
I think I will do shake for daily breakfast, as I regularly skip breakfast and a bar or shake for lunch on the busy days, and normal family dinner.

    1. I was having Celebrity Slim until I discovered Aldi shakes at half the price I do prefer Optifast chocolate bars to any others including Aldi
To change the flavours I simply add 1/4 teaspoon of diet jelly to the vanilla shake giving me a great variety eg lime, orange, mango etc to the coffee a dash of cinnamin is really nice, to chocolate I add coconut essense or spearmint
For breakfast and lunch I have a shake with fruit in between then dinner is a meal with lots veges or salad if hungry between meals I will have 1/2 choc bar or have one for lunch instead of a shake
What I like is if I go out for lunch then I have my shake for dinner making the the meal at lunch my main meal
